Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum executive director David Gonzales says he along with 54 cats and about 10 staff members will be staying behind in Key West, Florida, to protect the historic home.
“Cats know naturally when to go. As soon as the barometric pressure drops, they come in,” Gonzalez said. “They know before humans do when it’s time to get in.”
