Inuit Maps Carved In Driftwood

 The Inuit in Greenland carve portable, waterproof, floating maps out of driftwood for use in navigating regions along shorelines.



The three wooden maps above show the journey from Sermiligaaq to Kangertittivatsiaq, on Greenland’s East Coast.
