In its heyday families went to have a rollicking good time in the Catskills in upstate New York. The bustling vacation hub known as the Borscht Belt was the place where many comedians got their start but by the mid-1960s was already entering a decline. Marisa Schienfeld grew up in the Catskills in the 1980s and in 2010 she revisited the mountains to photograph what was left of the once vibrant playground.
