The first fully animated film ever, the 1908 “Fantasmagorie” was made by Emile Cohl

Émile Cohl was a French caricaturist of the largely forgotten Incoherent Movement, cartoonist, and animator. Cohl was called “the Father of the Animated Cartoon” because he was the first to use what came to be known as traditional animation creation methods in his 1908 animated film Fantasmagorie.
