In 1966, The Beatles touched down at Haneda airport. Reporters and fans braved the storm and sleeplessness to catch a glimpse of the band as they exited the aircraft only to find that they were all dressed in traditional Japanese festival robe-like coats called happi.
Now JAL is re-releasing the coats for a limited time to a select few. Anyone who rides first class from London to Haneda on flight JL044 between 15 and 31 December will receive the Happi Coat. In addition, those who fly business class departing on 24 or 25 December can also get one.
