Outfits Sourced From Public Transportation Fabric

Public transportation fabric is notoriously ugly. It's made to handle anything passengers toss at it, from spilled pop to vomit, and it lasts for a very long time. German artist Menja Stevenson became interested in this hardy material and began sourcing and creating outfits out of the fabric in 2006 for her brilliant Bustour project. She designed clothes that aesthetically camouflaged herself within each bus or train interior.
