Blue plaques are placed on buildings in London where notable people have lived and worked throughout the capital. I love coming upon them by accident when wandering around the city but now there's a more organized way of discovering this aspect of London's history. The over 900 plaques are searchable by name, time period, and profession on an interactive graphic. There's also an app available.
