The Evolution of Scalies

‘Scalies‘ are illustrated figures that provide relative distances, heights and widths in architectural drawings. Over time these figures have become more than a means to measure. Now they are seen "sitting in furniture, holding books (or recently: mobile devices), groups interacting and other strategies to bring these two-dimensional people to life, and the architectural scenes they inhabit along with them."
