Kickstarter Campaign to Recreate Eric, the Grandfather of Robots

The London Museum of Science is planning an exhibit in 2017 that will trace the 500-year history of robots. They have launched a Kickstarter campaign to recreate Eric, the United Kingdom's first automaton. The original Eric was built 1928, only 7 years after Czech writer Karel Capek first used the word “robot.” The museum hopes to raise  $50,471 (£35,000) to recreate Eric in all his former glory,
