Eggstatic!

Jiri Zemanek and his team at AA4CC turned Easter eggs into animated zoetropes. Regular chicken eggs were painted using EggBot, an open source art robot, and then rotated atop a motor at a special speed custom to each design. The patterns are calculated in such a way that when rotated under a stroboscopic light of suitable frequency or when recorded by a camera, they start to animate.
