Furoshiki are a type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth traditionally used to transport clothes, gifts, or other goods. They are made of different fabrics, including silk, cotton, rayon and nylon but with the advent of plastic bags are now used infrequently.
Now Japanese designer Masaya Hashimoto has created Furoshiki Shoes that are designed to be wrapped around the feet, much like you would wrap an item with a furoshiki cloth. They were released earlier this year from Italian footwear company Vibram.
