A zoetrope is a filmless animation device that produces the illusion of motion by displaying a sequence of rotating images. Elliot Schultz devised this zoetrope for his art degree project in 2013 using discs embroidered with sequences of images that fit on standard turntables. The animation is activated when a strobe light illuminates the discs in sync with the embroidered frames of animation.
