Hieronymus Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights (above) contains music written on the backside of one of the tortured souls in the right panel of the triptych which represents Hell.
What would that hellish music sound like? Two bloggers found the answer. Amanda transcribed it into modern notation, assuming the second line of the staff is C, as is common for chants of this era.
