Warning: Not for the arachnophobic!
The Australian town of Goulburn, NSW, was recently covered by spiders raining from the sky, a not uncommon occurrence down under. Some species of spiders climb to the tops of plants and trees and leap off, using their web-silk as tiny parachutes to help them migrate - a process known as ballooning. The spiders can travel for kilometres on strands of web-silk.
