Carolina Swamp Dogs, America's Original Canines

Until the 1970s lean, yellow “Carolina Swamp Dogs” lived in the pine woods on the edges of swamps in Carolina. They might be what the first dogs in America looked like. DNA analysis showed that these dogs are of Asian origin and might be pre-Colombian, having been in North America long before the first European settlers arrived.
