The Tiger's Nest Buddhist monastery in Bhutan, known as Paro Taktsang, has two unique features: the trek leading to the monastery and the tiger nest cave. The monastery was built in 1692 around the cave where Guru Padmasambhava, who is also known as Guru Rinpoche, meditated in the 8th century and has great spiritual significance.
