Lands In Limbo

What do Abkhazia, Nagorno Karabakh, Northern Cyprus, Somaliland, and Transnistria have in common? They are all de-facto countries that aren’t recognized as such by the rest of the world.  These countries were formed when groups seceded from a larger country after a period of conflict and large numbers of deaths.
