Top Bar Beehive and Harvest

This Top Bar Hive is different from the Langstroth Hive used by most commercial beekeepers. The bees build their combs on the bars that go across the top of the hive. When the honey is ready the combs are taken out to drain.

The hive itself is quite attractive and if I weren't afraid of bees I'd love to have one.
