Duke, a 7-year-old Great Pyrenees, was elected to a one year term as mayor of Cormorant, Minnesota. He crushed his opponent, store owner Richard Sherbrook who took the defeat in stride:
“I’m going to back the dog 100 percent,” said Sherbrook. “He’s a sportsman and he likes to hunt. He’ll really protect the town.”Hizzoner will be paid in dogfood.
