ReplyDeleteI just saw an episode of QI in which they said that freak shows in the 19th century used to get a bear drunk, shave the bear's face and then exhibit it as "The Pig Faced Woman". Poor bears.
ReplyDeleteThere is something about the way bears shamble awkwardly about that makes me feel sorry for them even when they are not being abused by humans.
