In 1866 one flock of passenger pigeons in southern Ontario was described as being 1 mile wide and 300 miles long, took 14 hours to pass, and held in excess of 3.5 billion birds. By 1914 they were extinct.An organization called
Revive and Restore has brought scientists together to investigate putting the passenger pigeon back in the sky.
No no no, I don't want 3.5 billion bird flocks crapping on my car.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in elementary school we read a story about the last passenger pigeon. It made me so sad. I'd like it if they could bring these birds back. Maybe you shouldn't park under trees, Bruce.
