Trying on a Piece of Rock History

Lisa Hicks went to the KG4MV clothing event at Mercy Vintage Now in Oakland, CA. These clothes weren't the usual anonymous castoffs - they belonged to Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth. Apparently Kim did what I keep meaning to do: she cleaned out her closet. Last time I saw the band was at Lollapalooza in Barrie in 1995 and I wasn't dressed in designer duds; I wore a threadbare Sonic Youth T-shirt and army surplus shorts.

Here are some of the clothes Kim decided to part with:

Kim Gordon wore this Mayle dress in the Sonic Youth “Incinerate” video.

Gordon sported this Mod-looking Miu Miu baby-doll dress onstage at the 2005 ArthurFest.

Much as I'd like to own a bit of rock history I can't see myself wearing any of these clothes. I'm more of a Hue leggings and big shirt gal these days. However since you're all more chic than I am you will want to check out the sale site here. Let me know if you buy something.
