Here are photos of 17 Vintage Thrill Rides Of Questionable Safety courtesy of Shorpy's magnificent collection. These rides are a bit before my time but I can remember defying death and gravity with a bellyful of cotton candy, ice cream waffles and candy apples on rides that were only a little less sketchy than these.
