1960s Time Capsule House

My home decor is a constantly evolving work in progress - out with the old, in with the new. Some people aren't as eager for change. 93 year old Lina Diacono is selling the house she has lived in since 1964. The home is like a time capsule of the 1960's with all the original furniture and architecture. She hasn't changed a thing.

  1. Well, that is one very happy & spry looking 93 year-old.
Seems keeping her home 'as she liked it'...has made her very happy.
Just guessing, but growing up in the 50's/60's...might that be 'waxed fruit' in the milk-glass bowl, sitting atop the doily?

  2. I'm sure she'll have no trouble finding a buyer, lots of people love that look. A friend of mine recently bought a similar time capsule (sans furniture). She is itching to gut the period kitchen (turquoise) and bathroom (pink). I am urging her to let her 60s inner child loose and work with the retro decor.

  3. What is remarkable to me, is the lack of wear & tear.
Also, I'm awfully glad she didn't buy her house in 1974.

  4. In another 10 years 1974 will be hip. God help us all!
