An "Ir de Tapeo" in Seville with Shawn Hennessey

The Wine Mule went on a gourmet tapas tour with Shawn Hennessey of Sevilla Tapas and - no surprise here- loved it. I went on a tour with Shawn a couple of weeks ago and it was a highlight of my trip to Spain. Read about it here. We got a wonderful introduction to Seville and its food as well as recommendations for other places to try while we were in in the city. The Wine Mule gives a glowing review of La Azotea and I also give it many thumbs up. It was our favorite restaurant in Spain, not far from our hotel, and we went back a second time. Juan, the owner, gave us superlative service. He went over the entire tapas menu with us, translating, explaining and giving recommendations. And the food? I loved everything and but especially recommend the filo pastry filled with cheese, leeks and langoustines and the bull tail croquettes.
I want you all to go to Seville, take a tapas tour with Shawn and eat at La Azotea. You won't regret it.
