Nienke Klunder Projects

The Community, 2003-2005, an exploration into the female quest for identity and self expression. Every aspect of our choices in hair, make up, clothing adds a layer of recognition from society of the character we are or believe ourselves to be.

American/Dutch artist Nienke Klunder  is known for her striking photographic portraits and thought provoking series and sequences. I was fascinated by the fact that the photographs above are all of the same woman.
