Cakeland

Scott Hove's elaborate cake sculptures are not meant to be eaten. In fact some of them look like they are more likely to eat you.

The sculptures have all of the appeal of the best cake you have ever tasted, but can never be eaten. The nature of edible cake is fleeting, lasting only as long as the brief celebration it was made for. These cakes last as long as the artist or society have the wherewithal to preserve them.

Clicking on the image above will lead you to a very cool panoramic tour of the installation.

I like double-talk, it wakes up the brain cells. Chimera is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a functioning of looking at freshness auspices of the awful exterminate of a telescope. Which is what I do, and that enables you to chortle at life's realities.
