When my sons were little McDonald's was a very rare treat. On one McVisit I filled out a McContest form and won a week-long trip to Jay Peak Vermont for 4 with free van rental, lessons, equipment and slopeside accommodation. I figure I'm one of the lucky few who got more out of McD's than I paid in. My kids took to skiing like ducks to water and our subsequent family ski trips together made many good memories. Hope you don't mind the segue because this link is not about me.
At first glance you may think that this map is missing some background color. But look closely and you'll notice that those empty black spaces actually represent all of the McDonalds in America.
