Update on Yesterday's Cat Post

One of my readers suggested that I speak to a shopkeeper who knows all the cats in town. I am told that this little tortoiseshell is one of two that were abandoned when their owner was deported about a month ago. They had lived in a building that later burned down and continued to hang around the ruined site.  When I found her yesterday she was filthy, hungry and scared.  Today she is less frightened and more responsive. What a rough month this poor little kitty has had!  I guess she's ours for the time being although I would not object if someone wanted to adopt her.
