Canadian Project Will Be the Tallest Hybrid Timber Structure in the World


Pritzker Prize–winning architect Shigeru Ban has been commissioned to build his first skyscraper in Vancouver, Canada. When completed Terrace House will be the tallest hybrid timber structure in the world.The upper portion of the structure will be formed by a timber frame supported by a concrete and steel core.The wood for Ban’s residential-only design will be locally sourced from British Columbia.
