Occupied City, a 2023 documentary film based on the book Atlas of an Occupied City, Amsterdam 1940-1945, is now streaming on various platforms. Steve McQueen is one of my favourite directors so I’m definitely going to track it down.
It is a fantastic film, and yes, his feature films are superb. This one was written by his Dutch wife. Look also for her own holocaust documentary, Three Minutes: A Lengthening - very moving.
