Saving Pufflings

Many residents of Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland spend a few weeks in August and September collecting pufflings that have crashed into town after mistaking human light pollution for the moon. The fledglings are released at the cliffs the following day to fly out to sea. This film follows some Icelandic teens as they drive around in the middle of the night rescuing pufflings. 


A friend of mine is involved with the Puffin and Petrel Patrol that rescues  endangered seabird chicks in Newfoundland.
