BANG! The Bert Berns Story

I read about Bert Berns on Facebook today and I can’t believe I’d never heard of him before. He wrote some of my favourite songs: "Twist and Shout," "Piece of My Heart," "I Want Candy," "Here Comes the Night," "Hang On Sloopy" and many more. He also founded Bang Records and made 51 pop chart singles in 7 years. In 1967, at the peak of his career, Berns died of a heart attack. He was just 38 years old. In 2017 his son Brett made a documentary about his dad’s work. Here’s the trailer:
