The exterior of the Stanley Hotel in Colorado is what we envision when we think of The Overlook Hotel in The Shining. But most of the movie was filmed at Elstree Studios and some of the buildings still exist. Shine On, a new documentary about the UK shooting location will premiere on the official Stanley Kubrick YouTube channel Friday 26th July.
