At this time of year sheep climb the narrow trails up the steep hillsides of the Pyrenees to their summer residence where they will enjoy the rich mountain grass, the fresher temperatures and the absence of annoying flies. The young lambs are not strong enough to walk the whole way on their own so they hitch a ride with donkey nannies.
