 A magnificent hand detail from Rembrandt’s A Young Scholar and his Tutor

    The size of that hand... bring the top side of the box down and left side of the box in till they touch flesh. Then bring the bottom up and right side in till they touch the index finger. The box on the actual painting would be 4¼ by 4¼ inches.
    It's unreal to paint that much detail on a hand that small.
