Stickwork - Timelapse

Sculptor and environmental artist Patrick Dougherty transforms the Kapnick Caribbean Garden lawn at Naples Botanical Garden using 30,000 pounds of willow saplings and nearly 100 volunteers.

  1. It looks like a giant cartoon cat-person in a driving rain, calling out to warn us of something, with a little person inside, standing on its tongue, posing for a picture. And the t-shirt man is tugging at its jowl, trying to get it to come away with him stage right (our left), but it can't because it's buried in the earth up to its chin, trapped, and the only people who hear and could help are doing nothing but cruelly goofing around.

    1. Oh, no. I'm embarrassed. I thought it was a still photo and that it was an abstract thing, just what I could see from the front. I didn't know it was a video that shows not only that it's really meant to be a cat but shows the whole rest of the cat too. Sigh.
