Arthur Radebaugh (1906–1974) was an American futurist, illustrator, airbrush artist and industrial designer, who saw his work a being “halfway between science fiction and designs for modern living”. From 1958 to 1963 he produced the syndicated Sunday comic strip Closer Than We Think! for the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate. He imagined the future and, by doing so, he helped shape it.

ReplyDeleteJust this afternoon I saw an ad for a $37 high-rez laparoscope that you plug the tail of into your phone. You can do your own colonoscopy now and save thousands of dollars. Or kids could set up a shop on the street corner, like a lemonade stand, but for quick medical imaging procedures. The doctor is in.
