Tightrope Walks Over Niagara River (1859)

A collection of animated stereoscopic photographs of French acrobat Charles Blondin's tightrope walks over the Niagara River near Niagara Falls in 1859 and possibly into the 1860's as well.

    Today all those spectators in the woods would be sitting on sanitized bleachers with paid admission and advertising sponsors.
