Early 20th Century Autochromes

In June 1907, the Société Lumière marketed autochrome as the first industrial colour photography process. But the process was fragile, difficult to expose, and not reproducible and it gradually fell into disuse in the 1920s and 1930s.

    "...relatively brief. Lasting a little over two decades," Today that sounds weird when any technology that doesn't have completion in 3 years and a dozen in a decade, all of which are comparable, hasn't much of a potential market.
