Mathieu Stern fooled the internet with “historical” cameras. He created a backstory for the group of porcelain cameras, claiming they belonged to the Chinese Emperor Qianlong, a real Qing dynasty ruler, who “became fascinated by the art of photography.”
He tells PetaPixel that he generated the fantasy cameras using Midjourney before working on them in Photoshop.
I guess an emperor would have serfs to hand him the camera ready to shoot and take it away after the shot, as those cameras look terrible to carry. Probably need two hands to be careful, or a bag.
