Magistrate and civic leader, Jonathan Corwin, was in charge of the 1692 investigation into witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts which ultimately sent nineteen to the gallows. His home, now known as The Witch House, is the only structure still standing in Salem with direct ties to the witch trials.
