There's probably an old Yiddish comedy term to perfectly fit this kind of pantomiming danger and difficulty. Can you think of it?
On the other hand, if this man is exposed on a corner, the wind and spray might really be that different between the places. But if so, /wow/ about the wind noise rejection of that handheld mic. Maybe they have a computerized filter for that now. I could've used that at the KNYO 4th of July musical bash. Every slight on-shore puff of breeze showed up on the recording as a booming thud drowning everything else out. It sounded like a barrage of atomic bombs.
No ducking. It only sounded bad on my mic. A windscreen that would stop mic noise of the kind of wind the guy in the news video was pretending to duck from, though, would have to be the size of a refrigerator.
