Chapel of Sound in China


An otherwordly character explores the Chapel of Sound, a rock-like concert hall designed by Chinese studio Open Architecture. The monolithic open-air structure has views to the ruins of the Ming Dynasty-era Great Wall.

  1. The Chapel of Sound is a complex structure with lots of attention to detail. I’m sure it took a lot of work by a lot of people, then maintenance and security when it was done. I wonder who paid/pays for it?

    1. The project was commissioned by real estate giant Aranya, China. The company has partnered with OPEN to create a number of cultural venues.
