Renzo Cesana as The Continental

Renzo Cesana did a 15-minute monologue in which he practically "made love to the camera," even lighting two cigarettes and placing one under the camera lens. He released this first of two mini-LPs in 1953. It was widely parodied.

    Saturday Night Live did a hilarious parody of this many years ago and it's only on hearing the original is it making any kind of sense.
