Why Doesn't Europe Build More Skyscrapers?
The downtown cores of most cities in Asia and North America are composed of soulless concrete canyons while Europe has relatively few skyscrapers. I prefer walkable cities with appealing landscapes, wide sidewalks, grand boulevards and human-scale living environments. However it's hard for large cities to ignore the siren call of modernization.
