The wisteria above died a few years ago but I managed to save a root from it and buds have finally appeared this year. There are just a few but I am thrilled. Hopefully it will produce some photo worthy blooms next year.
When I planted this one it was a stick about 4 inches long and I had no faith that it would survive. The first year it put out 5 blooms on a 24 inch stalk and it continued to flourish for almost 30 years. I felt guilty when it died because I had never given it the care it deserved.
Stunning! I love wisteria and have had one for almost 20 years and not one bloom 😕 We don't have the moderating influence of the lake though.
