If you want to make a Canadian angry change the ratio of custard to base in a Nanaimo Bar. In a lack of shocking cultural insensitivity the New York Times has "adapted" the classic Canadian sweet treat and we don't like it. Culinary expert Steve Walker-Duncan said. "If the base layer is too thick, it breaks and pushes the custard out and you end up with this mess. It's kind of like having a hamburger with a bun that's too small. You take one bite and everything falls out the back end."
