Is it just me or does "fighting a fire in a match factory" sound more Darwin Award candidate than heroic city heritage monument candidate --- especially if it was part of Mr. Brindle's "everyday duties". I'd rather see the owner of said match factory written into the history books as a total "zero respect for worker safety" asshat.
