New Technology Brings Clarity to Underwater Photos

Sea-thru is an algorithm, developed by engineer and oceanographer Derya Akkaynak, that corrects the visual distortion caused by water that causes a blue-green effect.  The effects could be far-reaching for biologists who need to see true colors underneath the surface.
